Fireside Chats are monthly, judgment-free virtual gatherings where a community of changemakers comes together to talk about designing for positive social change. GGS leaders host and facilitate the discussion. 

Bring your toughest questions and biggest curiosities, and be prepared to not only ask questions but also answer them! This event is always free and all are welcome. Feel free to attend as many times as you’d like.

More About Fireside Chats

Years before Sara and George founded Greater Good Studio, they searched far and wide for spaces where they could learn about how the worlds of design and the social sector come together. They wanted to connect with practitioners who were designing at this intersection. And they wanted to talk in a judgment-free space, so no question ever felt too basic. The GGS Fireside Chat is the space we wished we’d had. 

Now, we’ve been hosting and facilitating Fireside Chats for many years, and they continue to be a valuable moment of reflection for attendees and our team. It’s always an informal and supportive conversation for people of all experience levels – for example, we’ve talked with students about transitioning into the field, shared stories from past projects, and reflected on how we’ve dealt with ethical dilemmas. Some attendees are working in design, while others are working in nonprofit, government, or business. We’re proud to be in regular conversation with such an amazing, global community of activists and innovators. See you at the next one!
